Symmetry

It is expected that the tilts experienced by one A-frame will mimic those of the other A-frame when the telescope is rotated through 180degree - with a reversal of sign. An option of INCRED2 allows for this flip-&-slide comparison. Current data give comparisons that show systematic differences at the +1-2" level. It is possible that poor determinations of the calibration scales (mV/") might impact these comparisons between inclinometers, which otherwise seem substantially larger than comparisons of data from the same inclinometer.

The track profile may be generated from either set of A-frame-Y-axis data. However, the profiles generated from the L- and R- A-frames are not similar, possibly because of the poor calibrations, possibly because each leg interacts with the track in a different way.
