There are holes tapped into the TMU platform to take one inclinometer
mounted perpendicular to the elevation axis. Typically this is
No.2264.
Mount it with the cable connection end pointing towards the front of JCMT.
Position No.2267 parallel to the elevation axis with the cable end
towards the left of the building (towards the cabin door), and
secure it using a metal plate across the two inclinometers, separated from
them physically and electrically by a paper towel (!!!), and a clamp.
Note the configuration.
Recall : When the front end of the inclinometer rises compared to the end with
the cable connector the meter reading gets more positive.
With the telescope at 89.90 degrees elevation, both inclinometers have,
in the recent past, been on scale - i.e. showing readings on the meters
of between -1000 and 1000. (The signals that arrive at the micro may
still need to be made positive). Check that this is so. If this is not
the case for No.2264 then you may want to tip the antenna in
elevation,
and if this is not the case for No.2267 you may wish to shim that
inclinometer.
