Validating the model methods used in the Track Surface Model. The two main paths are, wheel model and leica track data (giving track height) produce a set of error offsets in azimuth and elevation and also the telescope lookup table (from inclinometry measurements) can be simulated through the telescope control software to produce error offsets in azimuth and elevation. These two measures can be compared and also matched against actual pointing errors measured at the telescope when the lookup table is switched off.
The agreement is sufficient that the methods appear to be at least qualitatively reasonable and not much difference in quantity.
