20000526 report
Inclinometry - new model installed. CW-CCW performance studied.
SUMMARY
CW Inclinometry was taken during the afternoon of 26 May 2000. There are
small (1" amplitude) differences since the last run on
22 Apr 2000 , with some
indication of the track segment pattern seen in the residuals.
The CW -vs- CCW performance of the antenna remains little changed since
this time last year.
Datasets HST start mean leg temperatures Humidity

The difference between these clockwise models is shown below :
- The differences in the
(F1,F2,F3) have rms scatters of (0.56", 0.29", 0.45")
cf (0.37", 0.49", 0.79") previously.
- The new track model was installed at 06:00 HST on 20000530.
- The symmetry
remains good : see the
plot .
- The difference between models created using the CW and CCW data
is shown below :
These data can be compared with those taken on
22 May 1999 .
The pitch(F3) and roll(F2) differences are again very small (0.6",0.3"
rms) while the +2" track-segment related differences in yaw(F1)
have maintained the same amplitude although there appears to be a phase
change in the modulation.
The difference between these CW-CCW differences is shown below :
The spike arises in the 1999 data, and otherwise
the CW-CCW difference compares well with earlier measures.
The need for a CCW track model,
hybrid model,
or togglable model still exists.
