20010906 report

New track model - updated inclinometer scales used

Datasets HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                   start start middle end %
  ( 20010815 cw 20:20 7.2 7.0 6.9 70 )
    20010906 cw 02:30 2.8 3.2 3.2 100

The difference between the latest CW model (processed in the 'old' way using inclinometer scales of 20.0mV/arcsec) and the previous one is shown below :

  • The formal differences in (F1,F2,F3) are described by the rms scatters of ( 0.58" , 0.46" , 0.52" ) cf (0.65", 0.45", 0.59") previously; - so the track profile remains stable.

  • The data were also reduced with the scales changed to 20.8mV/arcsec, as a result of experiments during the night on the Y-axes of the 'TMU' inclinometer and the 'Spare' inclinometer. Individual results were 20.9 and 20.7, respectively.

  • Installation of the new track model occurred at 09:30 HST 06 September 2001.

  • The symmetry remains elevated, but stable - see the plot.

  • The strain gauge data are also updated, and appear normal.
