20030329 report

CW & CCW Inclinometry, OK

Inclinometry was done as follows :

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                          start start middle end %
  ( 20030314 90 cw 10:25 3.8 5.0 6.0 16 )
    20030328 90 cw 22:50 6 5 4 85
    20030329 90 ccw 01:20 4 3 2 85

All data channels (particularly those from the 'fixed' TMU inclinometer) were OK. The resulting CW model is compared with previous model -- the one taken on 14 Mar -- and the CW & CCW models are also compared, below:

The new CW data are mildly different from those of the 01st, showing distinct segment-sized lumps indicative of a reorientation of one of the wheels. Nonetheless, they are used to create a new track model. The CW-CCW difference is essentially unchanged from the last time such a pair of measures was made : 22 Oct 2002.

  • The differences in (F1,F2,F3) are described by the rms scatters of (0.36", 0.39", 0.48") (CW-CW) and (1.26", 0.22", 0.48") (CW-CCW) c.f. (0.32", 0.55", 0.30") (CW-CW) previously.

  • Updates have been made to the plots of symmetry and strain gauge data. All looks OK.

  • The CW model was installed at 14:00 HST on 01 Apr 2003.

20030412
The above (CW-CCW) data was averaged with the 3 previous such measures taken during 2002 & 2003 to generate a mean (CW-CCW) profile, which will find use in the generation of hybrid track model, the first of which was installed on 20030412.
