** marks significant ( >3sigma) relationships.
Nothing significant and consistent across FEs.

            Y      30     +0.10   0.15

Notes : 1 : SCUBA_Z = (-0.30 +- 0.06 )*sin(el)     with curvature
        2 : SCUBA_Z = (0.010 +- 0.003)*Tleg   1.lt.T.lt.11
        3 : SCUBA_X = (0.035 +- 0.009)*Tleg   1.lt.T.lt.11   rms 0.13
        4 : RxB_Z   = (0.017 +- 0.005)*Tleg   1.lt.T.lt.10

Again (see September/October), SCUBA_Z is significantly a function of elevation : it's about time this was sorted.

Combining the last 4 months focus data :

     RxA    Z     284     -0.08   0.09    8,9,10

Notes : 5 : SCUBA_Z =  0.09 + (-0.21 +- 0.04 )*sin(el)
        6 : SCUBA_Z =  0.02 + (-0.15 +- 0.03 )*sin(el)*sin(el)
        7 : SCUBA_Z = -0.13 + (0.009 +- 0.002)*Tleg   1.lt.T.lt.15
        8 :  RxA_Z  =  0.04 + (-0.16 +- 0.04 )*sin(el)
        9 :  RxA_Z  = -0.01 + (-0.12 +- 0.03 )*sin(el)*sin(el)
       10 :  RxA_Z  = -0.13 + (0.007 +- 0.002)*Tleg   0.lt.T.lt.15

All fits reduce the s.d. from 0.09 to about 0.085.
Relationship #6 is the most significant (at about 6sigma).
We should maybe change the SMU parameters ZA and ZA_SCUBA; from +0.54 to +0.33 ,
or better (?) ZC and ZC_SCUBA; from +0.84(5) to +0.70
(Done: 20041228 - but later (20050124) discovered not to have been implemented due to having been placed in the wrong software plane ! Correctly installed on that later date).
This latter will also have the least impact on the zero-point.

Recall that

            Z = ZB + ZA*sin(el) + ZC*sin(el)*sin(el)
with
          ZB = -12.53mm, ZA = 0.54, ZC = 0.845  currently.

The ZC term was added in December 2000 when some non-linear behaviour was noticed : but is it really necessary ? Without the ZC term, the September-December data may be fit to similar quality by purely linear functions of sin(el) :

            SCUBA_Z = -0.36 +(1.05 +- 0.04 )*sin(el) (s.d = 0.09)

so it might be better (eventually ?) to withdraw ZC (set it to zero) and change ZA to +1.59, ZB to -12.89mm.
