20050119 report

CW-CCW Inclinometry update

Inclinometry was done as follows :

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                          start start middle end %
  ( 20050106 90 cw 22:00 -1.5 -1.6 -1.6 60
    20050107 90 ccw 02:00 -1.6 -1.7 -1.6 45 )
    20050118 90 cw 22:09 5.5 5.1 4.9 80
    20050119 90 ccw 00:56 4.9 4.7 4.6 80

All inclinometry and temperature data channels look; Ch13 - the #1 strain gauge - is still not functional.

The difference between the CW model resulting from these new data and the previous one of 06 Jan is shown below:

There is a slight problem with the initial F3 (elevation) data, indicative of a too-early start to the data collection. This persists through the following plots, but is small enough to ignore.

The differences in (F1,F2,F3) are described by rms scatters of (0.37", 0.74", 0.68") c.f. (0.38", 0.89", 0.75") previously.

The difference between the new CW and CCW models is shown below:

It looks similar to the previous CW-CCW difference - of 06/07 January.

The difference between this (CW-CCW) difference and that of the 06/07 Jan CW-CCW difference is shown below :

The differences in (F1,F2,F3) are described by rms scatters of (0.48", 0.28", 0.39").

i.e. the January 06/07 and 18/19 CW/CCW pairs are sufficiently similar to justify using them to create a 2005 CW-CCW template.
