20050130 report

CW Inclinometry update

Inclinometry was done as follows :

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                          start start middle end %
  ( 20050118 90 cw 22:09 5.5 5.1 4.9 80 )
    20050130 90 cw 10:21 1.7 2.7 3.7 70

All inclinometry and temperature data channels look; Ch13 - the #1 strain gauge - is still not functional.

The difference between the CW model resulting from these new data and the previous one of 18 Jan is shown below:

  • The slight startup problem with the F3 (elevation) data is in the 20050118 data.

  • The differences in (F1,F2,F3) are described by rms scatters of (0.46", 0.35", 0.37") c.f. (0.37", 0.74", 0.68") previously.

  • The new CW model was merged with the (CW-CCW) template to create a new hybrid track model, which was installed at HST 13:50 on 30 January 2005.
  • The symmetry (defined here) is a little better that last time - some respite from the inexorable rise seen in recent runs. The wheel loads - as judged from strain gauge No.2 only - are again OK.
