20050417 report

CW Inclinometry of 20050417 OK

Reports for 2005                     Pointing Home Page

Inclinometry was done as follows :

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                          start start middle end %
  ( 20050403 90 cw 09:47 4.1 5.2 6.2 17 )
    20050417 90 cw 10:08 4.5 5.7 6.7 60

All inclinometry and temperature data channels look; Ch13 - the #1 strain gauge - is still not functional.

The difference between the CW model resulting from these new data and the previous one of 19 Mar is shown below:

  • There are some broad (10deg wide) features, of low amplitude particularly in the F1 difference : at azimuths 145, 230, 250, 280, 330. Not much to get alarmed about right now, but worth monitoring.
  • The differences in (F1,F2,F3) are then described by rms scatters of (0.47", 0.17", 0.25") c.f. (0.31", 0.15", 0.33") previously.

  • The new CW model was merged with the (CW-CCW) template to create a new hybrid track model, which was installed at HST 17:10 on 18 April 2005.
  • The symmetry (defined here) fell wrt last time, but remains elevated & stable wrt previous times. The wheel loads - as judged from strain gauge No.2 only - are OK.
