20070318 report

CW/CCW inclinometry

Inclinometry was performed as follows:

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                          start start middle end %
  ( 20070304 89 cw ~07:30 - - - - )
    20070304 89 ccw ~10:00 - - - -
    20070318 89 cw ~07:00 - - - -
    20070318 89 ccw ~09:30 - - - -

Data is recorded from the 3 active inclinometers only: there is no strain gauge data, for instance.

  • The temperature trace from Ch6 (LT) seems more normal gaian - see JCMT fault [20070306.001].
  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from these new data and the previous model of 04 Mar are shown below :

  • The noise in Ch2 remains high (1" rms)

  • The 3 components of the model are shown in an unusual order so that the distinct if small structures in the F1 & F2 difference plots can be clearly seen.

  • The rms scatter in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) are (0.32", 0.20", 0.86") cf. (0.39", 0.28", 0.84") previously.
  • The difference between the CW and CCW models is shown below:

is of the smaller amplitude type as seen last time.

The CW-CCW data were used to generate a hybrid track model, installed at HST 23:15 on 18 Mar 2007.
