20071220 report
RxA pointing model OK --- rms's in (az,el) = (1.6",2.0")
28 RxA pointing data were acquired during grade 4 conditions,
and are presented below, corrected w.r.t. the
previous model
only by mean collimations of (CA,IE)=(-1.2",-1.6"):
The 28 data have formal rms values of (dS,dZ)=(1.8",2.6").
Without one datum (that on RXBoo at elevation 20 - the 2nd lowest
elevation measured) the collimation change is (CA=+0.2", IE=+0.3") and
the rms on (dS,dZ) fall to (1.6",2.0"). A full 7-parameter optimization
only reduces the rms to (1.4",2.0") without any significant
changes to any of the model parameters, and so seems unwarranted.
Summary
The current model - that of
20070412, give or take a couple of recent
collimation adjustments - is still valid, giving all sky pointing
accurate to (1.6",2.0") rms in (az,el).
