20080328 report

CW inclinometry OK

Inclinometry was performed as follows:

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                          start start middle end %
  ( 20080209 89 cw ~21:30 3.6 3.4 3.2 25 )
    20080328 89 cw ~06:30 1.9 2.0 2.4 40
    20080331 89 ccw ~07:00 1.1 1.4 2.0 10

Data is recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels. The LT trace is again low, but not abnormally so as previously; nonetheless, the RT data is used to correct LX & LY.

  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from these new data and the previous model of 09 Feb are shown below:

  • The features of amplitude 1"-2" and wavelength of about 9degrees appeared previously and may be present only in the previous data. The rms scatter in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) are (0.50", 0.42", 0.75") cf (0.32", 0.41", 0.48") previously.

  • The CW-CCW data of 20071223 were used to generate a hybrid track model, installed at ~HST 13:37 on 28 Mar 2008.

The CW-CCW data of 20080331 are of the usual 'small amplitude' variety, and were also used to update the hybrid track model. This new model was installed at ~HST 12:20 on 31 Mar 2008.

The symmetry and the strain gauge data are OK.
