20080427 report

CW/CCW inclinometry OK

Inclinometry was performed as follows:

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                          start start middle end %
  ( 20080412 89 cw ~06:00 2.3 2.4 3.1 60
    20080412 89 ccw ~09:00 3.1 4.1 5.0 45 )
    20080427 89 cw ~06:00 2.3 2.4 3.1 20
    20080427 89 ccw ~08:30 3.1 3.5 4.0 40

Data is recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels. The LT trace is again abnormally low, so the RT data is used to correct LX & LY.

  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from these new data and the previous model of 12 Apr are shown below:

  • There is essentially no change in the track profile since last time. The rms scatter in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) are (0.43", 0.29", 0.22") cf (0.32", 0.30", 0.50") previously.

  • The CW-CCW data are of the 'small amplitude' variety, and were used to generate a hybrid track model which was installed at ~HST 09:50 on 29 April 2008.

The symmetry and the strain gauge data are OK.
