20080528 report
RxA pointing model update
Following the mounting of SCUBA2 and the repeated
inclinometry
we have acquired 15 RxA pointing data
in grade 2 weather.
UT FE No. CA +- dS IE +- dZ
(daz) (del)
20080528 RxA 15 +7.4 +- 2.4 -4.0 +- 1.9
A full 7-parameter fit can reduce the rms's (dS,dZ) to (1.8",1.7")
but the last datum (taken at low elevation and at ~06:30 HST,
when the Sun was well up) is the most discrepant,
and without it
UT FE No. CA +- dS IE +- dZ
(daz) (del)
20080528 RxA 14 +7.8 +- 1.7 -4.2 +- 1.8
This (RxA) model update was made at 07:00 HST on 28 May 2008,
and a subsequent pointing showed it to have 'taken' well.
The
RxW(B) collimations --
most recently adjusted while RxA collimations were not
(0,0) --
were adjusted to
uaz (X) = +9.4
uel (Y) = -24.7
Unfortunately attempts to check this adjustment this night failed
with data reduction errors.
Other FEs, like HARP, needed no such collimation adjustment.
