20090106 report

CW/CCW inclinometry updated

06 Jan 2009

Inclinometry was acquired as follows:

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                              start start middle end %
   (20081211 89 cw ~07:00 5.0 5.0 5.4 10
    20081211 89 ccw ~09:30 5.4 6.2 7.0 25)
    20090103 89 cw ~04:00 1.5 1.5 1.5 95
    20090103 89 ccw ~06:45 1.5 1.6 1.8 98

The new data are recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels. The LT trace which has had problems previously appears to running normally again.

  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from the new data and the previous model of 16 Dec are shown below:

  • The resulting rms scatters in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) are (0.45", 0.67", 0.25") cf. (0.32", 0.26", 0.18") last time.

  • The CW-CCW profile is normal, and is used to generate a hybrid track model which was installed at ~HST 15:00 on 06 January 2009.

  • The symmetry and the strain gauge data for the one remaining channel looks as expected.
