20090203 report

CW/CCW inclinometry updated

03 Feb 2009

Inclinometry was acquired as follows:

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                              start start middle end %
   (20090103 89 cw ~04:00 1.5 1.5 1.5 95
    20090103 89 ccw ~06:45 1.5 1.6 1.8 98)
    20090131 89 cw ~06:30 3.3 3.6 3.9 3
    20090131 89 ccw ~09:15 3.9 5.0 5.8 8

The new data are recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels. The LT trace which has had problems previously continues to run normally.

  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from the new data and the previous model of 6th Jan are shown below:

  • The resulting rms scatters in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) are (0.54", 0.77", 0.72") cf. (0.45", 0.67", 0.25") last time.

  • The CW-CCW profile is normal, and is used to generate a hybrid track model which was installed at ~HST 16:00 on 03 February 2009.

  • The symmetry and the strain gauge data for the one remaining channel looks as expected.
