20090601 report

CW/CCW inclinometry updated

01 June 2009

Following an increase in frequency of track model updates, a full cw/ccw inclinometry run was performed on May 30th.

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                              start start middle end %
   (20090525 89 cw 12:45 7.3 8.0 8.5 45
    20090525 89 ccw 15:30 8.5 8.9 9.0 65)
    20090530 89 cw 07:15 6.4 6.8 7.4 30
    20090530 89 ccw 10:00 7.4 8.2 9.0 25

The new data are recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels.

  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from this run and the previous run on 25th May are shown below.

  • The resulting rms scatters in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) for the left hand plot are (0.25", 0.41", 0.43") compared to (0.31", 0.22", 0.94") last time.

  • The CW-CCW profile is normal, and is used to generate a hybrid track model which was installed on the 1st June at 11:00.

    Strain Data
The strain gauge readings since the central beating adjustment have shown the loads on the wheels remaining approximately constant thus far (see strain gauge data), we will continue to monitor this weekly however.
