20090615 report

CW/CCW inclinometry updated

15 June 2009

This inclinometry run was performed under night-time conditions on 13th June during a spell of extremely poor weather conditions which prevented normal observing.

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                              start start middle end %
   (20090530 89 cw 07:15 6.4 6.8 7.4 30
    20090530 89 ccw 10:00 7.4 8.2 9.0 25)
    20090613 89 cw 22:45 7.7 7.1 6.7 18
    20090613 89 ccw 02:00 6.7 6.5 6.4 30

The new data are recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels.

  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from this run and the previous run on 30th May are shown below.

  • The resulting rms scatters in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) for the left hand plot are (0.34", 0.28", 0.42") compared to (0.25", 0.41", 0.43") last time. The low values seen demonstrate the minimal difference between the track profile during daytime and night time conditions.

  • The CW-CCW profile is normal, and is used to generate a hybrid track model which was installed on the 15th June at 11:00.

    Strain Data
The strain gauge readings continue to hold steady - see strain gauge data)
