RxA pointing model update
Following the adjustment of the central bearing on 7th July, a dedicated pointing run was carried out. Initial pointings saw azimuth offsets (dS) of ~25" whilst the elevation offsets (dZ) were comparatively small at < 5". Becuase of this large shift, an intermediate model was installed using just the first 10 data points in order to reduce the offsets and direct the telescope nearer the source for subsequent pointings. This was followed by the pointing run presented below.
Altogether 24 data points were collected on the night of 8th July (UT). The weather during the run was stable grade 3 (see here).
Using this new data a full 7-parameter fit with TPOINT was carried out, this gave residuals (dS,dZ) of 1.44", 1.88" respectively.
