Inclinometry check

14 July 2009

A clockwise only inclinometry run was carried out on Tues 14th July, following a failed full run on Sunday 12th.

A quick comparison of this clockwise-only model to the one generated during the previous run shows a minimal difference between them and confirms that the model currently in place continues to apply.

The new data are recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels. The LT trace continues to chow no further problems.

  • The resulting rms scatters in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) for the left hand plot are (0.28", 0.27", 0.31") compared to (0.68", 0.51", 0.31") previously.

    Strain Data
We are continuing to monitor the strain gauge data following the central bearing adjustment last week. The plot below shows the loadings on each wheel. Analysis of the strain gauge data shows a slight reduction once again in the relative and absolute loading of wheel 4, but this is minimal and not a cause for concern. We will continue to monitor this trend on a regular basis.
