Z Focus - Temperature

Z Focus - Temperature: A case for change?

The plots only show the results of the first Z focus observation of each night. Data is shown for the previous 4 months (March, April, May, June) and for each receiver. A trend is apparent particularly in April (RxA & HARP) and May (HARP).

Tair - vs - Z
RxA:

HARP

T(mean leg) - vs - Z
RxA:

HARP

COMBINED PLOTS: JAN - JUNE 2009

T(air) - Z (first): RxA+HARP

T(mean leg) - Z (first): RxA+HARP

T - Z (all) - 17:00 - 08:00

T - Z (all) - 19:00 - 07:00
The temperature profile for a typical night shows the mean leg temperature reaches a maximum at ~19:00 then drops linearly until its minimum at ~07:00.

A least squared fit to this data has a slope of -0.031. The current value in the TCS of +0.11 will be adjusted appropriately to a value of +0.08. Data taken outside 19:00-08:00 will still benefit from this adjustment.

The value of DZT_COEFF in SMUinit.xml was changed on 22nd July at 13:30.
