CW/CCW inclinometry updated

06 October 2009

A routine inclinometry run was carried out this weekend with the following results.

Datasets El Dirn HST mean leg temperatures Humidity
                              start start middle end %
   (20090920 89 cw 08:15 6.9 7.5 8.2 50
    20090920 89 ccw 11:00 8.2 9.6 10.5 40)
    20091003 89 cw 05:30 7.9 7.9 7.9 100
    20091003 89 ccw 08:15 7.9 8.2 8.4 95

The new data are recorded from the 3 active inclinometers and one of the two strain gauge channels. all channels look normal.

  • The differences between the (CW) model derived from this run and the previous run on 20th September are shown below.

  • The resulting rms scatters in the differences in (F1,F2,F3) are (0.37", 0.47", 0.22") compared to (0.38", 0.23", 0.24") previously.

  • The CW-CCW profile is normal, and is used to generate a hybrid track model which was installed on the 5th October at 14:00.

  • The relative loadings on the wheels continues to remain stable however the absolute load on each individual wheel has increased (see strain gauge data).
