991013 report

First Inclinometry for 6 weeks - some changes (2" ampl.)

SUMMARY
CW Inclinometry was taken during the day 13 Oct 1999. There are some changes or order 2" since the last run on 30 Aug .

Datasets HST start mean leg temperatures Humidity
                               start middle end %
 ( inc990830 cw 09:54 7.0 8.5 10.0 15 )
   inc991013 cw 11:50 6.8 8.1 8.8 20

The differences between these clockwise models is shown below :

  • Difference spikes at azimuths 33, 249, 280 and 300 are evident, and the first and the latter two have been identified in the new data and removed.

  • After these corrections, the differences in the (F1,F2,F3) have rms scatters of (1.06", 0.43", 0.50"), cf (0.55", 0.31", 0.30") previously.

  • A new track model was installed at 15:30 HST on 19991013.

Instant confirmatory inclinometry would be desirable. However, the carousel is still being driven by only 2 of its 3 motors and inclinometry is unlikely for another few weeks.

Symmetry
The symmetry remains good : see the plot .
