Data processing
FTP the data file from mwtsrv.jcmt   directory [jcmtuser.observe.inc]
to your own unix space in Hilo, and copy (cp) it to
newinc.log.
Then do

/home/imc/pointing/progs/transit_inclinometry_1.com
to see the tilt data converted to arcseconds and plotted against azimuth.
An example is shown below :

cp /home/imc/pointing/progs/transit.decl .
and edit the first line of that file to be the declination of the dummy
source used during data acquisition.
Then do

/home/imc/pointing/progs/transit_inclinometry_2.com
to see a quadratic fit to the data. [ The fit is
derived
using the declination you feed in to transit.decl ].
An example is shown below :
Then do

/home/imc/pointing/progs/transit_inclinometry_3.com
choosing /xw to see the data with the quadratic subtracted -
this shows several features including the transit step.
An example is shown below :
Estimate the amplitude of the step in arcseconds. Enter half this value
(with a negative sign) as SCURVE.AMP in
/jac_sw/itsroot/src/tcs/thi/THI.tide on ieie and make a new
model : if you don't know how to do this ask me (or Firmin Oliveira
or Nick Rees) for assistance.
Updating the archive
Re-run

/home/imc/pointing/progs/transit_inclinometry_3.com
using /gif as the output option, copy the file pgplot.gif into
/JACpublic/JCMT/Facility_description/Pointing/transit_yyyymmdd.gif
and update the file
/JACpublic/JCMT/Facility_description/Pointing/transit_step_archive.html
