Holography map Aug 14 2001 large scale errors
Large scale surface errors (Aug 14 2001)
Image of the large scale errors of the JCMT dish on August 14 2001. The
measurement was made between 23:00 and 1:00 when the dish was thermally relaxed.
The rms of the large scale surface errors is 32 microns. The dish was last adjusted on
October 7 1999, and based on this map readjusted on September 5 2001.
Note however that the above map does not include
systematic errors from the holography system itself, or from imperfections of the
panels such as surface roughness and scalloping.
