Holography map Sep 7 2001 panel fitted errors
Panel fitted surface errors (Sep 7 2001)
Image of the total surface errors fitted to individual panels (Sep 7 2001). The
measurement was made between 00:00 and 02:00 hours.
Rms of the total surface errors, from holography, is 40 microns. The dish was
readjusted on September 5 2001 based on set 490. However because of some panels with large
deviations the fit obtained by the RxH2 software was not good. Some of these deviating
panels could not be moved because of broken motors.
Note however that the above map does not include
systematic errors from the holography system itself, or from imperfections of the
panels such as surface roughness and scalloping.
