"From Isolated to Tidal Dwarf Galaxies"

ABSTRACT: "I will begin by describing our on-going project to thoroughly investigate a "normal" isolated spiral, hopefully including the SCUBA observations which bring me here, and some of the results we have obtained. The second part will be devoted to our detections of the molecular interstellar medium in the small galaxies, referred to as "Tidal Dwarf Galaxies", created through violent interactions or mergers."
