"Multi-wavelength observations of Soft X-ray transients"
ABSTRACT: "I will present results from intensive campaigns of multiwavelength
observations of two soft X-ray transients: XTE J1859+226 and XTE J1118+480,
from the X-rays to the infrared using RXTE, HST and UKIRT, and other ground-based
optical telescopes. These data, through the decline of these sources towards
their quiescent state, consist of optical and near-infrared imaging, spectroscopic
and time-series data, including simultaneous RXTE/HST/UKIRT observations.
They cover the longterm broad band light curve of the source, and we could
also produce some spectral energy distribution and see their evolution
through the outbursts."
