"GRBs as cosmological probes"
ABSTRACT: "Gamma-ray bursts are the most luminous objects in the Universe.
They are also likely to be valuable signposts to regions of high-mass star
formation. They thus offer to provide a series of tradiational cosmological
tests, and to provide a check on UV- and submm-based pictures of the star-formation
history. I will describe some of the key features of GRBs relevant to cosmological
tests, and their potential observability in the submm."
