"MIRI - The Mid-Infrared Instrument for the JWST"
ABSTRACT: "As NASA's flagship observatory to replace the HST, the JWST's
science goals include the detection of extremely high redshift (Z=15)
'first-light' objects, and the imaging of nearby exo-Jupiters. We
describe how the MIRI instrument, now being designed and built by
a European Consortium in partnership with JPL, will help the JWST
achieve these science targets."
