  ABSTRACT: My talk will include a painless introduction to Fourier transform spectroscopy and a brief history of our FTS work at the JCMT, highlighting some scientific results. Design of FTS-2, for use with SCUBA-2, is under development. I will discuss some of the challenges and how we plan to solve them, and some potential astronomical objectives.
