"Star Formation in Perseus"

ABSTRACT: SCUBA and Spitzer have demonstrated the necessity of large area surveys of star forming clouds in order to understand star formation. I will discuss what we have learned about the Perseus molecular cloud, famous for its embedded clusters IC348 and NGC1333, focussing on where exactly stars are forming and what we can say about the lifetime of the protostellar phase.
