ABSTRACT: "We have observed a sample of 8 Seyfert galaxies with
the HST in OIII and Halpha filters. Excitation maps reveal the signatures
of ionization cones in many cases. 3.6cm and 2cm VLA radio maps show that
in most of these galaxies a radio jet plays a crucial role in shaping the
morphology of the NLR - in some case producing distinct features like bow
shocks and narrow emission line strands. One galaxy, ESO428-G14 even exhibits
an emission-line jet with a helical pattern. The observations confirm the
notion that jets are the rule rather than the exception and are integral
parts of most AGNs."
