"Outflows and Accretion Disks Around Herbig Ae/Be Stars"

ABSTRACT:"The suggestion that many Herbig Ae/Be stars are surrounded by disks, as in the case of classical T Tauri stars, has generated a lot of controversy in the literature. I will report on some studies of the outflow, infrared and millimeter properties of Herbig Ae/Be stars which suggests the analogy between the two groups of stars is very close indeed. Such findings suggest that conventional ideas about the magnetic properties of young intermediate mass stars need to be revised."
