"The Sunyaev-Zel'dovich Effect and SCUBA"

ABSTRACT:"The Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effects in clusters of galaxies tell us about the cluster atmospheres and peculiar velocities, and can be used to obtain absolute distances of those clusters. This talk will discuss the properties of the effects and why so many groups seem to want SCUBA to observe them, and present some of our recent results and their implications."
