ABSTRACT: "After a brief description of the Next Generation Space Telescop, I will describe the ESA plans for European involvement. I will describe the technical studies that are underway in Europe , with details about progress in the Payload-Telescope study. It will be informal and quite general - ie not just for astronomers!"
