Gordon Stacey (Cornell) has offered to give a short, informal talk on "SPIFI - First Results from the JCMT", on Monday at 3pm (in the JAC Conference Room).

(SPIFI = South-Pole Imaging Fabry-perot Interferometer)

Gordon hopes to describe how SPIFI works, what astronomy it is capable of doing, give an update on the current performance on the JCMT, talk about upgrades planned before September, and, of course, show some (very) preliminary results from the recent run on JCMT.
