Seminar Series

JAC Logo

With the development of the UHH Research Park, which now includes the headquarters for the Joint Astronomy Centre, the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory, Subaru, Gemini, the Smithsonian Submillimeter Array and the Institute for Astronomy, plus the astronomers at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, we are fast becoming one of the major centres for astronomy in the world. We thus encourage all visiting astronomers to take advantage of the proximity of these institutes, and give a seminar while visiting Hilo. Your talk will be advertised at each of the above institutes.

Tuesday, 24 November 2009, at 2.00pm
Nikta Amiri

JAC seminars are (usually) held in the second floor conference room at the Joint Astronomy Centre, 660 N. A'ohoku Place, Hilo, HI. Please note that access to JAC is possible only through the main entrance (through the doors on the Subaru side of the building). The back doors (on the Gemini side of the building) are usually locked.

Coffee and Tea are available in the JAC staff lounge following the seminar. Please join us for a chat with the speaker after the seminar!
