Applying for time

Since 1st January 2011 UKIRT has been operating in "Minimalist Mode" and all available observing time has been used to ensure expeditious completion of the UKIDSS programme. PATT and service open time is no longer available although we continue to observe long-term PATT projects and campaigns. Short ToO observations may be possible through Director's Discretionary Time but cannot be guaranteed and are subject to available staff effort and the needs of UKIDSS and other high-priority programmes. Initial inquiries about the possibility of ToO time should be made to Tom Kerr, UKIRT Head of Operations.
