PATT

All applications should now be submitted electronically for observing at UKIRT totalling 0.4 or more nights. They are considered by the UKIRT Time Allocation Group of the STFC Panel for the Allocation of Telescope Time (PATT).


Call for Proposals
& Instrument Availability

 Availability of UKIRT Instruments next semester. This page is usually made available one month before the proposal deadline.

Submission

 General Rules and Information for submitting PATT applications, plus access to the Northstar electronic submission system.  All potential PIs must read the Call for Proposals (above) first; this gives details of instrument availability. The submission system normally opens two-three weeks before the proposal deadline.
Data Protection Statement
Statement of the normal dissemination of proposals through the assessment and allocation process (this document describes who will see your proposal, email and other addresses etc.).

UKIRT SERVICE
Service Observing
Every semester PATT allocates between two and six nights of its time to the UKIRT Service Programme. Applications for observing (including infrequent monitoring, targets of opportunity, pilot or feasibility studies, completion of PATT-approved programmes, and self-contained science programmes) requiring 3 hours or less of telescope time (including overheads) should be sent to the Service Programme.
