APPLYING FOR OBSERVING TIME


PATT

All applications should now be submitted electronically for observing at UKIRT totalling 0.4 or more nights. They are considered by the UKIRT Time Allocation Group of the STFC Panel for the Allocation of Telescope Time (PATT).

UKIRT SERVICE




Every semester PATT allocates about 9 nights of its time to the UKIRT Service Programme. Applications for observing (including infrequent monitoring, targets of opportunity, pilot or feasibility studies, completion of PATT-approved programmes, and self-contained science programmes) requiring 3 hours or less of telescope time (including overheads) should be sent to the Service Programme.
