IZ Photometric Standards

I Photometric Standards

I-band standards are best selected from Landolt 1992 AJ 104, 340. A postscript file of the catalogue is available. Note that there are large colour terms between the Landolt Cousins I photometric system and the natural UFTI I system.

Z Photometric Standards

We have been calibrating UFTI's Z system using preliminary results from standard star photometry done for the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, see e.g. Krisciunas et al. 1998 PASP 110, 1342. An image of their results table is available, coordinates are not given but can be found in the Landolt paper referenced above. Note that there are large colour terms between the Sloan z* photometric system and the natural UFTI Z system; also the Sloan z* values have to be converted from an AB-system to our Vega=0mag system by subtracting 0.572mag.

Preliminary UKIRT IZ Standards

We have initiated a program to establish standards in the UFTI I and Z natural systems. Results are given in the text file summarising IZJHKL'M' standard star magnitudes.
