Introduction to ORACDR

ORAC-DR (or ORACDR) is a data reduction pipeline, which is part of the ORAC (Observatory Reduction and Acquisition Control) project. ORACDR is released to Starlink sites. IRCAMDR is no longer supported. ORACDR is primarily intended to enable assessment of data quality in real-time at the telescope.

ORACDR is run from the command line from a UNIX machine (at the summit this machine will usually be Kauwa). At the telescope you can have ORACDR automatically picking up new data as it comes in, running the data reduction recipe given in the image header (which you have specified via the Exec system), and displaying the images using GAIA. Alternatively you can also give ORACDR explicit instructions as to which recipe to use for what set of observation numbers, and you can choose not to have the images displayed.

The following sections describe the available recipes for IRCAM/TUFTI and how to run ORACDR with IRCAM/TUFTI . Help information is also available by typing
