Introduction to ORACDR
ORAC-DR (or ORACDR) is a data reduction pipeline, which is
part of the ORAC (Observatory Reduction and Acquisition Control) project.
ORACDR is released to Starlink sites. IRCAMDR is no longer supported.
ORACDR is primarily intended to enable assessment of data quality
in real-time at the telescope.
ORACDR is run from the command line from a UNIX machine (at the
summit this machine will usually be Kauwa). At the telescope you can have
ORACDR automatically picking up new data as it comes in,
running the data reduction recipe given in the image header
(which you have specified via the Exec system), and displaying the
images using GAIA. Alternatively you can also give ORACDR
explicit instructions as to which recipe to use for what set of
observation numbers, and you can choose not to have the
images displayed.
