Principal investigators of each observing programme should read these
notes after their observing time
is scheduled. For PIs coming to the telescope, the notes provide
instructions regarding arranging accommodations and transportation in
Hawaii
for the observing team and gives basic information on mountain
procedures,
data handling, and other issues.

are particularly useful for first-time observers at UKIRT, but

list of hotels in Honolulu, in case you need accommodation there, and

will need to complete before being allowed to visit the summit.

The JAC reservation request form must be sent to JAC by each
observer planning to attend the observing run. Please complete ALL
sections - your arrival time in Hilo is important so that we can
properly
schedule your travel between JAC and the Mauna Kea Residence. If you
encounter any problems with this form, please fax this text form
|

guidelines. |
Safety is taken very seriously at the JAC/UKIRT. We ask that you
take a few minutes to look over the guidelines posted here. Please
abide by these rules; your safety and the safety of others may depend
on it.
