JAC and other local institutes organise "Astronomical Polarimetry - Current Status and Future Directions", a conference dedicated specifically to Polarimetry that was held on March 15-19, 2004, at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott, Hawaii. The attendees can be seen above on the hotel lawn, resplendent in their conference caps and polarised sunglasses!
