This section briefly presents several highlights of observations made
during 1995
and 1996, emphasizing new observing techniques and immediately obvious and
important scientific results. Some of these results are not yet published;
in these cases the information is based on the observers' reports written
at the end of their observing runs. More detailed descriptions of
additional highlights are provided in the following section.
