Summary of JCMT Project

This page is a summary of the work completed by Matt Doyle, from the University of Victoria, with respect to the JCMT modeling project that he was working on from February 2004 through May 2004.

Goal of Project

The goal of the project was to create an accurate Pro/Engineer model of the JCMT building and antenna. This model would be used for the mechanical group. They would be able to use this model as a spatial representation of JCMT, for future advancements/instrument installations. There is also the potential to use this model for Public Relations.

Model Accomplishments

The Pro/Engineer model consists of 480 parts and 9 sub-assemblies. The model can be viewed on the internet (click on thumbnails).
