![]() I am a Support Astronomer
with the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) on Mauna Kea in Hawaii. I am responsible for the pointing and focus of the telescope as well as supporting visiting observers, providing assistance with data acquisition and data reduction. I am also survey manager for the Spectral Legacy Survey, a programme using HARP to compile a complete chemical inventory for four different star forming regions. We are coming to the final stages of commissioning our new instrument SCUBA-2. When I find time for research my interests focus on high mass star formation, including large scale mapping of the Galactic Plane with HARP. Before arriving in Hilo I completed my PhD in Manchester, UK, working with Dr. Gary Fuller.
